Kat gave fans a look inside her new book, High Voltage Tattoo recently via her Myspace page and we thought those of you that don’t do the myspace thing might like to have a peek as well. So check it out, in addition to the book cover (above) here are some of the guts as well. Enjoy and remember the book is out on January 20th from Harper Collins. Fans can pre-order it now from Amazon.
Well, so much for that. Musink was supposed to be bigger and better in 2009, and now the whole thing has been shut down. And Ms. Von D does not have a whole lot to say about it either.
It’s being tossed out there that things were cancelled due to the “current economic climate”, which is a legit concern. But I wonder what sealed the deal. It is not as if the economy took its big dive in the past month, its been dipping pretty low since October.
Another new L.A. Ink is on tonight, I have my DVR set, do you? Here is a little preview of tonights episode, which has not 1 but 2 “celebrities” getting inked.

Kat and Nikki were present this past weekend at the American Music Awards and of course took some time to pose for the cameras. Apparently, Nikki is so “whipped” he now has a new “Kat Approved” star tattoo of his own on his face. See if you can spot it in these pics….

I know alot of people really loved seeing the designs Kim did for Vans on last weeks episode so I first wanted to give you a couple pictures of them here just in case you forgot what they looked like.
In addition, here is an official statement from Kim regarding when the new line will be available…..
Another new episode of L.A. Ink hits the TLC airwaves tonight, and another tattoo artist adventure ensues as Kat’s father shows up with a big surprise.
Also, Kim takes a trip to Vans headquarters to see how some of her designs are being used. This looks to be a very cool segment.
And, the rumor is, they might do some tattoos too! Check it out tonight on TLC at 10/9 Central!
Some of you might remember last year Kat Von D came up with the MUSINK festival in an attempt to combine music and tattoo culture into a weekend of craziness. And it spanned several cities earlier this year. Well, she is at it again and has set the dates for the 2nd MUSINK festival for early 2009. This time around, MUSINK will go national for 6 weeks, beginning in late January, and will feature music and tattooing and even seminars this time around. In addition, Kat will be there full time and signing her new book, High Voltage Tattoo, which should be interesting. And for fans of some old school punk rock, Social Distortion has signed on to headline the music portion of the festival as well. The always quoteable Kat was of course ready and willing to provide this nugget…..
A new episode of L.A. Ink premieres tonight on TLC at 10pm ET. The episode is Kat Gets Hypnotized, and she is doing it in an attempt to quit smoking…
