An official announcement came down earlier this week that the new shop which will also be the set for LA Ink, High Voltage Hollywood is now open to the public. High Voltage is located in West Hollywood on La Brea Ave. and they are also planning a new website, which currently just has a splash page up. can we just walk in or its by reservation only ..
from what I understand it is by appointment only during weekdays during the day, spots reserved for filming. Once the season is done it probably opens up to walk ins.

I would love to have Kat do a Portrait on my back, but the problem is, I’m a Paraplegic in a wheel chair, and I dont know how well it will work out. I do have other tattoos and I’ve notice that my body spasm when the needle first goes in. Second, I dont even know how to make a appointment with her.

This is the first time I have ever written to a website. But I could use some help. You see my only daughter died about five months ago and I miss her terribly. She was 18yrs old and the light of my life. It has been a struggle to work through the healing process. I know that your one of the best at portraits and I would very much like to have one my daughter done.

Hey! I have been wanting a portrait of my son done for the last fourteen years. I would like for him to be looking over my shoulder and keeping me straight. I got a tattoo done the first week of his death and although I love the tattoo, I have to admit it’s not a good tattoo and was never what I really wanted. My name is Claire, my parents have had 4 tatts done by Jeremy Sutton who now works with you. I am doing my 5th grade social studies project about tattoos; their history, social influences and about my parents tattoos. Would jeremy and Kat please let me ask some questions (5) for my interview part of my research.
Jeremy did a great vine with flowers on my Mom’s foot and a greyhound on my Dad’s back he even tattooed my uncle with his head wrapped after surgery.

I came out of a 20 year verbally, then physically, abusive marriage. I met Jon while going through the process. Thinking this was going to be my “sowing oats” stage we got together even though there is a HUGE age difference. Let me say right now that Jon is my rock. Something happened between us and it just stuck and my sowing oats stage has lasted over two years now. He is an unbelievable person… I really didn’t know someone like him could exist. He is way into skull tattoos and has many on his arms trying to get full sleeves when all is said and done. He has a tattoo on his top forearm, his elbow is done and flames coming from his wrist. We live in Tucson and I would like to surprise him and take him on a road trip to LA to be inked by Corey, possibly finishing his right lower arm. I am in awe of how Corey can just pick up a pen and draw it out right onto the skin and go from there. Everyone there is awesome but Corey would be the man to do the continuation of skull work. I can just see him looking at the skin like a canvass and his pen comes to life. We watch all the time, even the reruns so I feel as though I know you all. Please let me know if this would be possible. I can send pics of what he has now so you can give me an idea of the cost. We don’t have a lot of money but this would certainly be a thrilling experience for both of us. We want to visit your shop and could make this trip just to do that and see the sights. Walking into your shop just to visit and then finding out Corey was going to tattoo him would be so awesome. I can see his face now… please help me make this dream come true for the man who saved my sanity and make me realize that life can be so much better than my past. Thank you.

Hello Kat - I can’t believe I’m emailing you ~ Hoping you’ll get to read this. I’m in Phoenix and my husband and myself are huge fans of your show. I work full time and go to school for cosmetology so I record every episode just to watch your art take form. All of the girls are amazing and my husband Chad loves Pixie.
Anyways - I’m asking an unusual and probably not very professional request to say the least. With my schedule (and finances don’t help either)it would be impossible for me to get out there. I’m wondering if there is anyway you would be able to create my tattoo for me to have someone do here.I apologize ahead of time for asking this of you - I have previously worked in industries where this request would be a huge conflict of interest and will completely understand your position if you can’t do it. Here’s the whole story : My grandfather just past away this Wednesday the 24th and I would like to get a memorial tattoo. Although your portraits are amazing this would probably be one of the smallest tattoos you’ve done! When we were growing up every time he would come to visit (from Cali) my Papa would sneak us out of the house at five in the morning and take us to MacDonald’s for breakfast and a 10 cent mini ice cream cone. We thought we were being sneaky with our parents and really cherish that memory now. I would like a mini ice cream cone (maybe 3/4″ tall with the name “Papa” above it with something around it to warm it up a bit. I’m thinking of putting this on the top of my foot. I have a couple small tattoos but this would be the first to always be exposed. He was a WWII Navy Pilot and truly served as a great humanitarian to people and unbelievably touched the hearts of anyone he came across.I would love to know that you had your personal touch on it. It seems like you truly put your heart into each piece you do and the compashon you have for that person’s story is reflected within your art as well. This is the first time I am getting a tattoo for remembrance and I can’t imagine having someone draw this that I’m not familiar with. Your consideration would be greatly and sincerely appreciated.

First time watcher and did I get addicted to it!! This team that makes up “HIGH VOLTAGE” puts alot of passion in their work and comforts the customers in a way that makes people just want to just come there and shoot the breeze. The show had “healing powers” for people who are in the need of an answer to something thats thev’e been holding on to and you have answered their prayers!!! I watched 6 shows in a row and it inspired me to design my next tatoo, I was up till 7am sketching it and today i had to thank you. I always wanted to visit LA and the first place I stop is HIGH VOLTAGE to hopefully get this inspiration done!!

I live in Athabasca, Alberta and have seen your portrait work on TV and have always admired it. My husband and I lost my 22 year old son on August 05, 2007 in a quading accident and I would love to get a portrait done of him. He recently got married on April 07, 2007 and I would really like a picture of his beautiful face taken on that day, as that was his happiest moment. I was going to try and get this tattoo done in Edmonton by a tattoo artist named Enrique from Peru but it seems like the government is stepping in about him coming up here and working. I would love the opportunity to come to LA and leave with a portrait of my son done by you….please advise if this is a possibility?

My brother died suddenly April 3rd. I would like to have Kat do his portrate on my left leg inside a full moon. I am thinking around Christmas time. My mother passed away alittle over three years ago from Renal Carsenoma (Kidney), My mother was the most loving caring understanding lady. Her & my dad had been married a few months short of 65 years. Shortly after her passing I went back to work doing what I loved to do. Counselor for women & children against domestic violence. Both in Englis & Spanish, I also had been a victim of domestic violence. My husband & I have been married for 4 years. My mom had always said that an angel was going to bring to Riverside County. I lived in San Diego for almost 20 years and always said I would never leave SD. I did and don’t regret it.
A little over a year of me working, I went to the Dr for a routine check up & of course lab work. Well come to find out I have cancer “Multiple Myeloma” it was not only a shock but something that is so difficult to explain. How do you tell your children & new husband…”I have cancer”
“D” and I have been through so much in these last few years but as I tell him that if our love strong then we can handle anything. This man has even been in the room while Dr. is performing a bone marrow biopsy. What man would do that?
Anyway, I was telling “D” that I would like to get a tatoo of something to do with cancer. I’ve looked up cancer and pretty much see the pink ribbon. I don’t have breast cancer, my cancer is abnormal plasma cells/make antibodies. In time they collect in the bone marrow. It is not cureable but can be prolonged. It is very painful as all cancers are. I have good days and bad days but try my hardest to keep positive with this desease. I’m still in stage “1″ which is good, have been for about close to 2 years now.Once I get to stage 2 is when treatments and hair loss and so on begins to happen. Getting back to a tatoo that I would like to get. I have tried to desgin something like 1 or 2 callallies, mine & my mother’s favorite. When I married my sisters made sure I had callallies. I would like 1 or 2 callalillies tied w/ a ribbon & on the ribbon the words “hope” “love” & “faith” or “courage” “strength” & “love”…not sure. No larger that a tennis ball. Would like the honor of you Kat to do the tatoo, but don’t know how to go about getting to see a design and prices.
I am still able to drive,even though I am on medication but take a break or two to stretch.
Let me not forget to say how much I love your show. I look forward to seeing it on Thursday’s and Oops I use Sephora and am looking a a couple of your product. As I told my husband, I may have cancer and may lose my hair soon but I’ll be _____if I’m going to look like walking death. I hope to hear from you and thank you for your time
