Kat & Steve-O?

Here at Reality Ink, we are not a gossip rag, usually. But there is a juicy rumor circulating involving “Steve O” of Jackass fame and L.A. Ink’s own Kat Von D. Say it ain’t so Kat? I mean, Steve O? The same dude who is still pulling the same stupid crap constantly? Not to mention that if Kat and husband Oliver Peck are on the outs, Kat sure has a load of “Oliver” related tatts to get covered up, eh? Oh, young love.

katsteve2.jpg

Since this little rumor is mostly MySpace fueled, we won’t go over the top with it, but that picture with Kat, Steve and Paul “Pee Wee Herman” Reubens above certainly does not help.

This message from Mr. O’s Myspace appears to confirm something…..

Sorry I missed you yesterday, I had a shooting day starting at 6am and not finishing until 6pm. Once 6pm rolled around, I was jumping into a limo with my new babe (first turbulence last night, and again this morning…), and, since I know that you will bother the shit out of me until I tell you about the “turbulence”, I’ll just tell you– she’s going through a divorce, her old television series was “Miami Ink”, which has now been cancelled and replaced with a series calles “LA Ink”(NO!!!!), she’s the only one who made the leap from series to series. LA Ink is really, her show, and she’s receiving a great deal of tangible spite from the Miami Ink cast members that were left by the wayside. She’s a world class tattoo artist, her piano skills are absolutely incredible, her typing skills rule, she’s bi-lingual, and she’s on this planet to be a good person, for the sake of feeling good about being a good person. She’s an unbelievably talented, absolutely gorgeous woman who loves everything I love. Except pot, she’s not into pot. Anyways, it’s a tough, tough time for her to be jumping into a serious relationship, and I’m a very, very scary guy to be jumping anywhere with. I’ve never felt this way before, and this sucks, she dumped me already! She’s got to sort through her issues, and I’m not allowed in her life, and that makes me really sad.

yeah, i watched the tom green interview with kat von d and she mentioned to him that her and her husband are going through a divorce. I know she’s just a t.v. personality and all but i feel like even watching her on t.v you can tell she has changed. She dresses way different (more expensive clothes) now and she acted like a brat ( and pretty out of it) on the tom green interview. She is letting the whole t.v. deal go to her head. Too bad really because I know a bunch of people that know her and they said she used to be pretty chill now she just seems like any other celeb. Television is ruining the art of tattooing. I hate you TLC.

sam, great comment, I would blame the Kat stuff on sheer immaturity, I cannot say I would not handle a situation better being that young. as for hating TLC, thats fine, but again, id blame reality TV as a whole…..

that makes a lot of sense and I completely agree. I think t.v. ruins everything. I actually feel really bad for the girl. It must be hard to got through young adulthood and have so much attention. It might be what ruined her marriage and I am sure a million other reasons as well. It is too bad really.

Why hasn’t anyone else noted that this ’steve-o’ letter is by far too eloquently written to be by the real steve-o? Is it possible this is a joke by one of his friends or a prank all together? Steve-o has never spoken in that manner in ANYTHING I’ve seen him on. I call this a joke.
Also, kats a long time friend of steve o, johnny and bam, so her hanging with them and having a photo taken with one of them doesn’t mean affair.

Oliver Peckinator is an amazing tattooer with a tons of credibility and a brutal rad reputation. he’ll be fine.Especially in the long haul of all this. ;)

Kat Von Double D is at the top of her game…that said its only down from here on…

Steve-o…a wastiod who’ll be dead in 5 years. Guess every gal needs a loser rebound.

I think “immaturity” is the key factor here for Ms. Von D. I had work done on me by Kat pre-Miami Ink. I think she does have a true gift, but the pinup girl she did for me (in color) is a bit off. I think she was hungover when she did it.

When Kat talked about her relationship with Oliver it seemed like they had nothing much but tattoos and smoking in common. She loves the partying scene, going to strip clubs, staying up all night, and drinking like there’s not tomorrow. All pretty normal for a twenty-something who is still trying to “find” herself.

I knew from the way she talked about her relationship with Oliver that things wouldn’t last too long. Hopefully they will both remain good friends.

Kat has a bit of maturing to do. And someone damn sure better manage her shop, and the $$$ for her, otherwise she’ll be going under financially soon, good artist doesn’t equal “good businessperson”.

And Steve-O is a retarded, no talent douchebag. I wish his 15 minutes would end soon. Kat can do lots better than that whack job Steve-O.

Good luck to Kat and the L.A. Ink crew, even though she show seems to be more about pimping the “sexuality” angle of the chicks who work there with the one guy there for comic relief.

And Krazy Ami James should count his blessings and move on with his life, which seems to be mostly about yelling at Nunez and pretending he’s a tough guy. LOL

I had Kat put my daughter on my shoulder in February/07 and she did an awesome job. I am trying to get back in to have my son put on my other shoulder. I found her to be very nice and down to earth. She told me about L.A. Ink then and did not sound stuck up or full of herself at all to me. What you see on T.V. is not always “reality” due to editing and I think before you speak poorly of Kat you should meet her or have her tattoo you. As for her getting divorced 50% of all marriages end in divorce now so I don’t believe being on TV has anything to do with it, unless you were a fly on the wall at their house and know something the rest of us don’t. The one thing I do agree about the comments I read here is that Ami was crazy and missed out on a HUGE business opportunity letting Kat leave.

I had never admired tattoos until I started watching Miami Ink (and now LA Ink). I like hearing why people get them and the different stories behind the pictures. So I got into watching and interested in the crew and followed to watch Kat on LA ink and wondered why she hadn’t mentioned her husband. It’s too bad. I’ve been divorced and it sucks. I hope they both end up ok.

I Know Kat and Oliver very well and while I don’t know the particulars of thier split they are going through a divorce. Kat is still very down to earth and very cool but very busy and I’m sure completely overwhelmed. Oliver is doing well on his own. Besides being an extaordinary tattoo artist, his signature line of Vans slip ons are doing very well as is his tattoo shop in Dallas.
Shit happens in life, divorce is more of a certainty than most things unfortunately.
As for Monjin, you’re a moron. If you knew Oliver at all you would know that he is completely sober…he doesn’t even smoke. Not sure he ever did, even before he was sober which has been around 15 years.
They will both be fine though it is a shitty situation and time.

anybody else notice how fucked up stev-o was on the show? He kept itching himself and just seemed completely fucked, hes breathing was fucked up too which leads me to believe hes on some type of opiate. Maybe he just popped a few vicodin so he couldn’t feel the pain of the ink. I thought that was supposed to be part of the experience?

I enjoyed watching Miami Ink, love tattoos have 16 of them. Unfortunately none done by Kat, wish it could be so. About her divorce, well, crap happens, and if you saw the show, them two together well it just didn’t match. Two different worlds and ambitions, ages, etc..Love? maybe, strong enough to weather the tough times, maybe not. Sometimes we get into someone who we think because we have common interests with, we can say forever to, but, sometimes that ain’t the truth. I think she is awesome, she has major talents, she can draw, and has imagination to go with that. Now, the question is, can she maintain her popularity. Personally, I think one mistake she is making, is brining in celebrities all the time. Then the viewer will be saying, ok, how is she going to outdo herself next week? Another issue is, yes, when you are on top who was the one that made you from the bottom? That would be your everyday joe. Its nice to see famous people tattoed, but, I think she’s too glam, rock and roll, partytime. I would like to see alot more tattoing, stories and just regular joes. Not trips to the hair salon or her friends’ shops and stuff. Keep it simple Kat..love ya and i think that your selection of people are awesome. Ami was a hothead and i don’t think he projected a very good image. Good looking, but the inside? Finally, i wish her the best in life, including her sucess in the shop and her selection of people. I love Hannah! she rocks…Good luck and please stay away from Steve O, i don’t know what mentally issued problem he has, but, he’s not for you. He may have a good heart who knows, but until he gets his personal problems in check, you don’t need anymore problems in your life. And be smart, date, but don’t committ, you have the ability to get anyone you want in life. someone who is for you….

How can you say Kat Von D isn’t that great of an artist?
She’s undoubtedly an amazing artist! Tell your boyfriend to chill.. he’s just jealous or something…
not a very good artist, pfffft. yep, jealous.
