Kat Von D On Current TV

A couple of quick questions answered via video today by Kat Von D on an installment called, The Current Question. Also, it looks like L.A. Ink has been taken off of the full episode player list of shows over at TLC, we are trying to find out what might be going on with that, hope to have an answer for you soon. In the meantime, enjoy a couple videos.

Kat Sells L.A. Ink Photobooth On Ebay

In what appears to be nothing more than a cash grab, Kat Von D recently sold the photobooth from the shop at High Voltage Hollywood. Yes, it is indeed the same photobooth that is not only used in the show’s entry, but also that is seen in many of the episodes in season 1.

From the auction…..

You are bidding on Kat Von D’s very own photobooth as seen on her tv show LA Ink and on location at her tattoo shop in Hollywood, CA High Voltage Tattoo. Dimensions: 28″ deep x 77″ tall x 74″ wide Age: 1989 Model: 21T for Indoor use only; 120 volts; 60 cycle; 11 amps, Serial# 13338. Prints out 4 photos in one strip, black & white. Comes with a bill acceptor & an autographed photos of Kat along with High Voltage Sticker. Buyer to arrange for pickup…weight: really really heavy.

The booth went for over 5 thousand bucks to an ebay user named “chulalatina” and was sold by a user going by “homestarrunnergirl.” We are pretty sure that this is not Kat herself, but rather a cronie of some sort collect the dough. So, since the Pixie surgery episode, where the shop raised over 7k for her, I wonder who needed to go under the knife for the photobooth “sacrifice?”

Tim Hendricks – Miami Ink Guest Video

Since TLC has decided that it does not want to add last week’s episode of L.A. Ink to its full episode player, we are gonna be without pics this week. But in the meantime, here is a great video of one of my favorite artists to make a guest spot on Miami Ink. Tim Hendricks is an amazing tattoo artist our of L.A. and is one of Kat Von D’s mentors.

I have a feeling that if Tim wanted to, he could easily be a fixture in any shop in the world. Check out the video below……

Kat Von D Is In Love, Gushes on MySpace

Well, it appears that Kat Von D has found love, and most of you will be happy to know it is not our least favorite Jackass that kat-orbi.jpg is the recipient. In a recent myspace bulletin, Kat gushes about a new love that she says is only the third person she has ever fallen for. And his name is Orbi, well, it is actually Alec Orbison, and yes it is that creepy looking dude in the picture on the right, here is what Kat has to say.

Its weird because ever since my split up with my ex husband, i really haven’t been discussing much of my personal life with anyone, but my closest friends and family, but it dawned on me yesterday while in New York. Orbi and I were driving from the airport to the hotel through Brooklyn, when he turns to me and says, ” i love you more than all the bricks in Brooklyn.”

I’m blown away the minute he walks in the door. He is my match, in every way. But it wasn’t until later on that evening, after leaving the show and ending up at my shop, that our chemistry was far too obvious to ignore.
We kissed for the first time on the couch in my office, and 32 hours later (literally), we awoke in the same place, in each others arms, but just as different people. We were falling for each other for sure, and it was perfect.

Uh oh, thanks for airing this out…. on Myspace.

My Chemical Romance’s Frank Iero Tattoo Mistake

So, I wanted to toss this out to some more folks regarding the comment made on our last recap post regarding the ink that Frank Iero got from Kat Von D. Here is the comment RJ made, which I have not been able to refute.

And on Kat’s grandfather portrait- there are 2 mistakes! The word “familia” is Spanish- he requested the wording to be in Italian, so it should be “famiglia”. Also, he requested the word “hero. In Italian, that’s “eroe’, not “idolo” which is “idol”. Bad work on both their parts!

This could be a major screwup. Not only did Kat obviously made dude wait for like 6 plus hours to get this work, but then did not fact check the script and may have left some laughable text on this guy for life. Any other thoughts or opinions on this?

L.A. Ink Episode 8 Recap – Kat’s Gnarly Day

Better late than never for our episode 8 recap. Some great tattoo’s on this episode and some more maturity issues plaguing Kat as she shows up 5 hours late to work! And then blames the alarm clock! Raise your hand if you have ever done that. And oh yeah, she always talks about being a responsible business owner. Yikes! Check out the photos from the finished ink from Episode 8, Kat’s Gnarly Day.

Eagles Of Death Metal Heart Kat, Write Song For Her

Just saw this news over on Spinner about Eagles Of Death Metal frontman Jesse “thehughes.jpg Devil” Hughes. Apparently, Hughes is so enamored with the L.A. Ink starlet that he penned a song for her, titled “High Voltage”, which is also of course the name of Kat’s shop.

Here are some humorous quotes from the rocker that make us think he is probably right up Kat’s alley.

“Kat Von D is like an object that I’ll never be able to obtain, that I infinitely lust after,” a crushing Hughes tells Spinner, “but at the same time respect, love and adore as my good friend. So, I wrote her a song.”

I mean like, yeah man…….
